Le gouvernement fédéral a déclaré 2022 Année du jardin au Canada. Pour célébrer cet événement, la Société d’horticulture de Saint-Lambert a offert une subvention pouvant aller jusqu’à 500 $ pour une activité horticole pour les élèves dans les écoles à Saint-Lambert . L’activité organisée par l’école pourrait être une variété de choses telles que la construction d’une platebande de fleurs surélevé, l’achat de plantes pour un parterre de fleurs existant, la plantation d’un arbre dans la cour d’école ou même subventionner une sortie dans un jardin public tel que le Jardin botanique de Montréal. Notre objectif est d’encourager les enfants à en apprendre davantage sur la nature, à développer de nouvelles compétences et à découvrir leur rôle en tant qu’intendants de la terre.
The Federal Government has declared 2022 as Year of the Garden in Canada. To celebrate this event, the Saint-Lambert Horticultural Society offered a grant of up to $500 for a horticultural activity for students in Saint-Lambert schools. The activity organized by the school could be a variety of things such as building a raised flower bed, purchasing plants for an existing flower bed, planting a tree in the schoolyard or even subsidizing an outing to a public garden such as the Montreal Botanical Garden. Our objective is to encourage children to learn about nature, develop new skills, and discover their role in being stewards of the earth.
Actuellement, Préville, Reach, Saint Anges, Rabeau et Saint-Lambert International School ont accepté la subvention.
Currently, Préville, Reach, Saint Anges and Rabeau have accepted the grant. Saint-Lambert International School also received a grant for the Year of the Garden.
